Apex Entertainment plans Summer Kickoff eventBy Dakota Antelman, Managing Editor

Marlborough – Apex Entertainment in Marlborough is hosting an event to “unofficially officially” welcome customers back Sunday, April 11.

With COVID-19 precautions still in place, the sprawling indoor entertainment complex is ramping up its programming with a triumphant “Spring Kickoff” event.

“We’re noticing increased traffic since 2021 started, and we’re encouraged by that,” company Community Relations Manager Rob Luzzi recently told the Community Advocate. “We want to give back and offer a nice day out for our guests.”

In addition to its existing attractions, Apex is indeed bringing in costumed superhero and princess characters to interact with young visitors.

It’s running a silent auction of sports memorabilia and other prizes, all while donating money raised from a number of paid attractions to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

An extra bonus for local movie fans, Luzzi said, this event will host Rudy Ruettiger, the motivational speaker and former college football player who inspired the movie “Rudy.”

Apex’s Spring Kickoff event runs from 12 p.m. to 4.p.m. on Sunday, April 11 at the Apex Entertainment Center at 21 Apex Drive in Marlborough. Learn more at apexentertainment.com.
