Patricia R. CarletonPrinceton – Patricia R. (Stott) Carleton, 70, of Princeton and formerly of Marlborough, died on April 10, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late James E. Carleton, who died in 2012.

She was born, raised and educated in Athol, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Stevens) Stott and was a 1969 graduate of Athol High School.

She worked as a home health aide for Medical Resources for many years, retiring in 2017.

Pat enjoyed playing cards, classic country music, the Red Sox and taking trips to South Carolina to visit with her sister. She enjoyed a great sense of humor and loved to joke around with her family. Pat was a positive outgoing woman that adored her grandchildren.

She leaves two sons, James E. “Jay” Carleton Jr. and his wife Donna of Oakham and Chris A. Carleton and his wife Kolette of Princeton; a brother, Thomas P. Stott and his wife Sue Ellen of New Braintree; a sister, Sharon Morse and her husband Ronald of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and seven grandchildren, Nathan, Nolan, Asher, Ava and  Brendan, all of Oakham, and Tiana and Ian of Princeton. She was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Paul, and Donald Baker.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 16, at 9:30 a.m., in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery of Stow.  Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 15, from 6-8 p.m., in the funeral home.
