Paula M. BallHudson – Paula M. (Logan) Ball, 84, of Hudson, passed away peacefully at Sudbury Pines Extended Care, on April 9, 2021 after a period of declining health. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert G. Ball.

Paula was born on Dec. 17, 1936 in Boston, a daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Kily) Logan. She was raised in Waltham, where she attended Rosary Academy and subsequently graduated from St. Charles High School in the class of 1953.

After graduating she began working as a dental receptionist, where she fell in love with a patient, who was her future husband, Robert G. Ball. Paula married Bob on Dec. 13, 1959 and later the following year they settled together in Hudson.

After moving to Hudson, Paula began working as a school bus driver for the Hudson Public Schools, where she especially loved to drive the High School Sports teams to their games and meets. She later took a position as a switchboard operator at Marlborough Hospital and eventually retired. She was a lifelong devout Catholic and longtime parishioner at Saint Michael Parish in Hudson. She was also an avid reader.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is also survived by her son, Christopher R. Ball and his significant other Marijane Mangs of Hudson; her daughter, Marcia Foley and her husband James of Johnston, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Theresa Guidotti and James Foley and his wife Becca. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl A. Guidotti.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation on Tuesday, April 13, from 4-7 p.m., at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 14, at 9 a.m., at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery for Committal Services.
