MARLBOROUGH — A final state budget isn’t expected until July 1 at the start of the next fiscal year. But Marlborough Public Schools administrators don’t expect a significant change to state aid for their district.
As a result, administrators have drafted a recommended budget of $66,654,566. The budget total represents a zero percent increase over this year’s budget.
A public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. The hearing will take place during the School Committee meeting that day and will be done virtually.
The School Committee held a budget workshop with administrators last month and plans to vote on a budget proposal following the public hearing.
If approved by the committee, the budget will pass to the Mayor’s Office and the City Council on May 1.
