WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Rangers Volleyball team raised money for breast cancer awareness on its way to a 3-0 win over Wachusett, April 15.

The game marked the latest annual “Dig Pink Awareness and Fund Raiser Event,” which had to be postponed last year due to COVID-19.

Dig Pink is a national movement in volleyball to help raise funds for cancer research. Westborough alone has raised over $30,000 through Dig Pink events since 2009.

With the restrictions on in-person attendance still in place, volleyball players decorated their school and the gymnasium in pink April 15. They also encouraged all who were able to attend to dress in pink.

Playing for a cause, the Rangers dominated the court, improving their undefeated season win-loss record to 10-0.
