HUDSON – Volunteers will spend much of this upcoming weekend outside facilitating Hudson’s annual town clean-up effort.

Running April 24 and 25, this coincides with ongoing Earth Day observances across the region.

The environmental group Green Hudson has helped organize this event, marshaling personnel to distribute trash bags to anyone interested in beautifying their corner of town. Based in front of Hudson High School, volunteers will also help dispose of trash collected.

In addition to the clean-up, volunteers will be accepting donated items to be delivered to the Hudson Food Pantry.

In a flyer circulated ahead of that food drive push, organizers asked for baking items, cereal and breakfast items, canned goods, pasta and rice, condiments, and personal care items in particular.
