Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce to celebrate 97th anniversary at Annual Business AwardsMARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) will kick off the celebration of its 97th Anniversary when it bestows its Annual Business Awards on Friday, April 30, beginning at 4:30 p.m. 

The Kentucky Derby-themed Awards Celebration and virtual event are produced by MCTV in Marlborough and will feature special guest appearances along with the celebration of award nominees, winners and member anniversaries.

“The nominees recognized by their peers in the challenging year of 2020 have special significance due to the impact of the pandemic on the business community,” said Robert Schlacter, President and CEO at MRCC.

Business of the Year nominees include Al Brodeur’s Auto Body, Artisan at Hudson, National Grid, Verizon and Avidia Bank.

Small Business of the Year nominees include Team Sharing, New Horizons at Marlborough, Chandra Tallman Design, Labaredas BBQ and Rail Trail Flatbread Company.

Business Person of the Year could go to Bing Yeo, Hunter Chaney, Steve Pickford, Luiz Thomas or the duo of Heather and Jay Johnston.

Entrepreneur of the Year comes down to Tye Jordan, Mark Federico, Louis Papile, Michelle Grasso and Emily Greenwood.

Tickets for the event are $55 per person and include the link to the event, choice of gift basket and a raffle ticket.
