Shoppers peruse hanging plant offerings at a past Shrewsbury Garden Club annual plant sale.
SHREWSBURY – The Shrewsbury Garden Club has announced that their Annual Plant Sale is back this year (after a year off in 2020 due to the pandemic).
The event is Saturday, May 15 at the Shrewsbury Senior Center, 98 Maple Ave. from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (rain date is Saturday, May 22).
Items included are annuals, perennials, herbs, geraniums, memorial and hanging baskets as well as tomatoes. The flowers and vegetables offered at this sale are locally grown from members’ gardens and are ready for planting. The club recommends bringing a cart or wagon for a speedier checkout. Cash, Checks and Venmo will be accepted. All plant sale proceeds will benefit the club’s Town Beautification Program.
