Shrewsbury – Mary Ann Janaitis, 66, of Shrewsbury, passed away after an illness on May 12, 2021 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
She leaves her husband, Richard Stevens Albee; her sisters, Susan Lederman and her husband Robert of Centerville and Laurie A. O’Rourke of Shrewsbury; her nephew, Eric Lederman of Irvine, Calif.; and her nieces, Hannah Arthur, of Loveland, Co., Sara Moscaritolo, of Hubbardston, and Jocelyn O’Rourke, of Brighton, as well as grandnieces and grandnephew. Mary Ann loved being an aunt as well as her work family, and spending time with loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles P. Janaitis and Josephine L. (Leone) Janaitis.
Born in Worcester, and raised in Shrewsbury, Mary Ann was a 1972 graduate of Shrewsbury High School and later received her Bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University. She enjoyed a lengthy, forty-year career as an IT Specialist at Paul Revere Insurance Company, retiring in 2019. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting Wellfleet, walking on the beaches of the Cape, riding bikes, beading, and going to gem shows.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for Mary Ann’s graveside service, which will be held on Tuesday, May 18, at 12 p.m., in Section FF of Mountain View Cemetery, 22 Boylston St., Shrewsbury. The Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
