SHREWSBURY – Pakachoag Music School in Shrewsbury is hosting a special Memorial Day event on Monday, May 31 at 6:30 p.m., entitled “Lost But Not Forgotten.”
Part of Pakachoag’s 21 Ways to Harmony in 2021 series, this event will explore, through conversation and music, how composers speak to us about conflict and loss.
Select school faculty and other guests will share experiences around conflict and loss.
“We’ll also explore some specific works by Ralph Vaugh Williams, Durufle, Haydn and Stravinsky as we individually contemplate common feelings, themes or inner experiences we draw from music during times of turbulence and uncertainty,” a press release announcing the event read.
