Westborough – Ruth A. (Gorman) Devoe, 57 of Westborough and formerly of Marlborough, died on May 23, 2021 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond V. Devoe, in 2019.
Ruth was born on May 23, 1964, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary T. (Hinckley) Gorman. She graduated from Assabet Valley Vocational High School, Class of ’82. She was employed by EMC working in sales until her retirement in 2009.
Ruth is survived by her three sisters, Grace Wilson of Hudson, Mary Coles and her husband Paul of Marlborough, and Nancy Bizzotto and her husband John of Fitchburg; two brothers, Robert Gorman Jr. and his wife Patty of Southborough and Arthur Gorman and his wife Linda of Marlborough; two sisters-in-law, Donna Gorman of Hudson and Leslie Gorman of Westborough; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Gorman in 2020 and Richard Gorman in 2016, and a brother-in-law, Eric Wilson in 2016.
Ruth enjoyed doing charity work, especially for the Marlborough Eagles, she loved camping and going on motorcycle rides. She was a kind and very generous person, always thinking of others before herself.
A private graveside service will be held in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
