SHREWSBURY — Shrewsbury High School seniors will be recognized throughout this week before they graduate on June 3.

“The moment we’ve been waiting for,” said Student Advisory Committee member Aabia Hasan during a May 26 School Committee meeting. “Our students have worked hard for the past 12 plus years to get to this moment.”

Graduation will be held on the turf field. Hasan said masks won’t be mandatory for participants and spectators after Gov. Charlie Baker’s move to eliminate most COVID-19 restrictions earlier this month.

The first major event of senior celebrations was the senior breakfast held in March. The seniors then had the option of donning their prom outfits for their Senior Stroll last week in the field house.

On June 1, students will have the option to participate in a parade throughout campus. Commemoration will be held on June 2 at 7 p.m.

Commemoration will include a senior class video and speeches from class officers and faculty.

It will be broadcast on SELCO channels 29 and 329 and livestreamed and archived on the Shrewsbury Media Connection.
