HUDSON – Students at Hudson High School as well as the town’s Quinn Middle School received long-awaited COVID-19 shots on June 4 thanks to a clinic within their schools.

Organized in partnership with the Hudson Health Department and UMass Memorial Health, the clinic immunized students whose families registered for the vaccine and provided signed consent for their child to be vaccinated.

Parents/guardians had the option of being present during the vaccine clinic and were also able to receive the vaccine themselves. Portuguese and Spanish interpreters were available to assist the families.

This comes as a number of area school districts including nearby Marlborough and Shrewsbury are working to vaccinate their students through similar in-school clinics.
