Laureen S. BrowningMarlborough – Laureen S. (McLaughlin) Browning, 69, of Marlborough, died on June 19, 2021 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Browning, who died in 2018. They were married for 23 years and together for 35 years.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Frederick R. and Louise A. McLaughlin. Her early years were spent in Millbury before moving to Marlborough about 38 years ago.

She worked in different jobs during her life, including security work at the former Jordan Marsh in Auburn, working for the town of Sutton, and working as a nanny for different families in the Marlborough area.

She was a very caring person, always concerned about everyone else and not wanting to talk about herself or her problems. She was constantly bringing food or gifts to friends who were sick. She loved being in nature with her flowers, taking her dogs for long walks, fishing with Ken, walking the beaches and watching sunsets.

She is survived by a sister, Vanessa Marsden of Sutton; two brothers, Neil Mclaughlin of Sutton and Brennan McLaughlin of Connecticut; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Browning of New Hampshire; brother-in-law, Charles Browning and his wife Susan of Virginia; sister-in-law, Linda Browning of Maine; and her dear friends, Steven and Janice Taylor of Marlborough, Sharon Cupo of Marlborough and Paul and Marylou Cobill of Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Mustard Seed, PO Box 2592, Worcester, MA 01613.

Funeral services are being planned for a later date.
