MARLBOROUGH – City Council President Michael Ossing presented the 2021 City Scholarships to winning students at the council’s June 14 meeting.

Marlborough High School students Taylor Baber, Brooke Bishop, Amelia Carlman and Allyson Trinh, as well as Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School students Makenna Nobel and Ryan Fettig received this year’s scholarships.

The scholarships are paid for via a voluntary check-off system on municipal tax bills. Ossing thanked Mayor Arthur Vigeant for his role in making that possible.

“The Mayor has worked hard with the water bills and sewer bills [so] you can check off the box on the bottom to donate,” Ossing said.

Ossing said the students are going to Endicott College, Worcester State University, Boston University, Palm Beach Atlantic University and Saint Anselm College.

Ossing said one of the students is still undecided.
