MARLBOROUGH – Two longtime financial professionals recently earned major promotions at Marlborough’s St. Mary’s Credit Union.

In announcements June 10 and June 17, St. Mary’s said Eileen Potter and James F. Petkewich had been elevated to the roles of Vice President, Controller, and Executive Vice President, respectively.

Potter has been with St. Mary’s since 2012 and was most recently promoted to the role of Vice President, Accounting last year. Potter has worked for more than 30 years at various New England financial institutions.

Outside of her financial work, Potter participates in the Read to a Child Program at the Richer Elementary School in Marlborough, a St. Mary’s press release noted.

Petkewich, likewise, previously served as Senior Vice President, Retail Services. He assumes his new role after, among other things, having local successes negotiating a long-term lease with a national brand at St. Mary’s South Bolton Street location near downtown Marlborough, a bank press release said.

Petkewich is a past Board Member of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of MetroWest. He has also served on the Economic Development Committee of the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce.

“Jim’s focus on teamwork and member satisfaction has never been more rewarding than during the recent pandemic when St. Mary’s Retail staff led the organization to record-setting member satisfaction ratings during a very unusual and trying year,” that same press release read.
