Brooks A. WilsonMarlborough – Brooks A. Wilson, 68, of Marlborough, died on July 5, 2021, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester following a long illness.

He was born in Newton, the son of the late Leonard A. and Barbetta L. (Thompson) Wilson. Brooks graduated from Wheaton High School, Class of ’70, Wheaton, MD.

He was an excellent athlete and excelled in many sports. He threw 8 no hitters from little league through High School. He was an excellent student and artist and had a wonderful singing voice. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his tremendous sense of humor and his remarkable kindness.

Brooks enjoyed doing handy work for many local businesses in Marlborough.

He is survived by his brother, Scott Wilson and his wife Nancy of W. Roxbury; two sisters, Julia Busby and her husband William of Mendon and Sheila Muise and her husband Lee of S. Dartmouth; his stepmother, Rose Wilson; his Aunt Jane Thompson and Uncle Jay Thompson and his wife Claire; Uncle Peter Thompson and his wife Patty; Uncle David Thompson and his wife Martha; his Aunt Jean Thompson; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his chosen family, Joe and Linda Edwards, Cromwell Tombi, Megan Mooney, Sierra Bloom, Tyler Madeiros, and the many other wonderful members of Advocates who have helped Brooks throughout the years. In addition to his parents, Brooks was predeceased by a brother, Rick Wilson, in 2003 and Uncles Thomas Donald and Robert Thompson.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 29, his birthday, at 11 a.m., in the Marlborough Common, Main St., Marlborough. Burial will be at a later date.
