MARLBOROUGH – A Marlborough resident briefly befriended a woodpecker over the July 4 weekend.
Terry Paladino reached out to the Community Advocate and shared a photo of her husband, Jim, smiling at the small bird perched on his shoulder. Together, the two named their backyard friend “Woody.”
“The woodpecker climbed up on his arm and stayed for some time,” Paladino wrote in an email. “Then my husband put him up on a tree, and he climbed up.”
