MARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough Public Library Foundation recently elected a new slate of officers, just as the library itself begins its long-awaited renovation and expansion project.
William Keyles, a 28-year resident of Marlborough and a Vice President at Main Street Bank, now leads the Foundation as its President.
Janice Merk is serving as Vice President, and Kathleen Rousseau is Treasurer. Ginger Ryan was re-elected as Secretary, and was re-elected as Capital Campaign Chair.
“I am thrilled to be taking on this leadership position after seeing the outpouring of support from individuals, families, businesses, and committee members,” Keyles said in a press release following his election. “I always felt strongly about how local libraries offer valuable and often crucial resources for the communities it serves.”
The Foundation supports library services and programs and raises funds for capital improvements like the current renovation project.
Bloomquist noted in that press release that a variety of naming opportunities are still available in the new library facility at a wide range of donation levels. Contributions can be spread out across several years if desired.
She encouraged both businesses and citizens to learn more about how they can support the capital campaign. For more information on how to support the Foundation or become a member, contact [email protected] or https://www.marlborough-ma.gov/library/mpl-foundation.
