Southborough – Barbara D. (Marsh) Delardra, 93, of Southborough, passed away on July 19, 2021, at Marlborough Hospital after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Delarda for over 72 years and the daughter of the late Ralph Marsh and Dorothy (Fay) Marsh.
Barbara worked at Deerfoot Farms as the spice girl, where she met her husband, Bob, and made many lifelong friends. After she was married and had children Barbara was a home maker. She learned to cook from her mother-in-law, the proper Italian way and became very good at it.
Barbara and Bob held all the family holiday parties and gatherings, where she and her daughters would cook together. When Barbara was younger her Aunt Hazel would bring her to Lake Winnipesaukee, and she continued to enjoy it there throughout her life. Every Saturday night she and Bob would go out to dinner, and she would dress up as if it were one of their first dates. Her greatest joy was being with her family and close friends. Barbara was also a long-time member of St Anne Church of Southborough.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Diane Levay and her husband Larry of Marlborough and Susan Wood and her husband John of Southborough; four grandchildren, Nicole and Stephanie Levay and Robert R.J. and Michael Wood; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and John Marsh.
