Carol A. BergeronHudson – Carol Anne (Oksa) Bergeron, 73, a lifelong resident of Hudson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Aug. 4, 2021, at River Terrace Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Lancasterm after a period of declining health. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 41 years, Robert A. Bergeron.

Carol was an only child, born in Marlborough on Dec. 21, 1947, the daughter of the late Sulo Z. and Jeanette (Phaneuf) Oksa. She was raised in Hudson, where she attended Saint Michael Academy and graduated from Hudson Catholic High School in the class of 1965.

Early on, she worked as a computer operator for Harrity Company in Hudson, but after falling in love and devoting herself to raising her family she worked for many years as a cashier at Stop & Shop in Hudson and also as a town crossing guard.

Carol had a passion for music and used to enjoy playing the guitar and singing. She also enjoyed golfing, which is how she met her husband, Robert.

In addition to her beloved husband, Robert A. Bergeron, she is also survived by her two children, Andrea Bergeron Stanley and her husband Matthew of Marlborough, N.H. and Gregory N. Bergeron of Hudson, and three grandchildren, Kirra A. Bergeron, Kennan R. Stanley and Danika G. Stanley.

A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home and procession to Saint Michael Cemetery for interment.
