Seminole, Fla. – Maryann Mutti, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Seminole, Fla., on July 29, 2021. Maryann was born in Marlborough to Manuel and Emilia Sousa.
She attended school in Hudson and continued her education at Saulters Secretarial School in Worcester.
She married Paul Mutti on Sept. 23, 1951 and moved to Waco, Texas, where Paul was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. They had four children born in Waco and one more after returning to Hudson.
She then started working at the Sea and Surf Restaurant in Framingham and then worked until her retirement at Raytheon as an executive secretary.
Her large family was her source of pleasure, especially being able to dote on her grandchildren.
Maryann is survived by her daughter, Paula Bryant (Phillip); her sons, Steven Mutti (Elsie), Walter Mutti (Jane), and Bruce Mutti; and daughter, Carolyn Gianos (James). In addition, there are 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m., at Church By The Sea in Madeira Beach, Fla. The service will be live streamed at www.churchbythesea.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospice or Ronald McDonald House, places where she enjoyed volunteering.
