MARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough Shamrocks eked out a 19-14 win over the Southern Maine Raging Bulls on their home field Aug. 7.

Bolstered by a packed crowd in the home bleachers of Kelleher Field in town, the Shamrocks improved their season win-loss record to 6-0.

Southern Maine struck first in the first quarter. Marlborough managed to answer, though, when wide receiver Graham Asum found open space after the catch to score a touchdown on the first play of the second quarter.

The Shamrocks later sealed the victory in the second half after entering halftime with the score tied at 7-7.

Marlborough’s next game is slated to take place Saturday, Aug. 14 back at Kelleher Field.
