Diann C. ChestnutFranklin – Diann C. Chestnut entered heaven on Aug. 18, 2021, to be with her son, Michael Mancini; brother, Paul LeDuc, parents, Sylvare LeDuc and Theresa Fricault; and other family members. Diann grew up in Marlborough before moving to Franklin where she resided with her husband of 31 years, Frank J. Chestnut.

In Diann’s spare time she enjoyed spending time with family, her daughter, Michelle Mancini and her fiancée Donald Hansen; her granddaughter, Brianna Mancini; her father, Sean Harden; and Brianna’s husband, Seth Crisp.

She enjoyed cooking and will be remembered for her chicken cordon bleu and stuffed shells that she made every Christmas Eve. She also enjoyed going for walks at Patriots Place with her husband and dog Bailey. She loved being outdoors and cherished her time in New Hampshire and Maine with Frank, Brianna and Seth. One of Diann’s favorite places was Kennebunkport, Maine, where she vacationed often.

Earlier in life, Diann worked for 30 years as a dental office manager, where she was adored by the patients and staff.

Diann’s true passion was helping others and animals. You couldn’t leave her house without her giving you food, toiletries, or some sort of thrifted item. She loved shopping for a bargain and refurbishing furniture. She stood by, “if it’s free, it’s for me”. She will be remembered for her frugality and imagination when turning “trash into treasure.”

Diann’s family is devastated to lose her at such a young age of 74. She will be remembered every day for her kindness, generosity, compassion, and thoughtfulness that she provided to others.

There are no calling hours and services are private. Diann will be buried at the Evergreen Cemetery on Wilson Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Metrowest Humane Society, 30 Pond St., Ashland, MA 01721.
