Sylvia M. EdralHudson – Sylvia M. (George) Edral, 81, of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2021, at Marlborough Hospital after a period of declining health. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 52 years Francis “Frank” R. Edral, who predeceased her on Dec. 4, 2018.

Sylvia was born on Aug. 24, 1940, the only daughter of the late Joseph and Yolanda (Altobelli) George. She was raised in Leominster, but attended boarding school at St. Anne Academy in Marlborough, where she graduated from High School.

Following graduation she worked as a hairdresser for several years, before marrying the love of her life and starting a family in Hudson. She worked as a cook for many years in the cafeteria at C.A. Farley School in Hudson, until her retirement.

Sylvia was a spitfire, without a filter and a great sense of humor. Her outgoing personality kept those around her constantly amused and on their toes. True to her strong Italian roots, she was a great cook and loved to feed her friends and family. Sylvia also had a flair for arts and crafts, which she expressed with her beautiful needlepoint, crocheting, sewing and paintings. Most of all she loved to spend time with her beloved family who she cherished.

Sylvia is survived by her loving daughter, Jodi-Ann Gordan and her husband Daniel of North Grafton; her grandson, Ryan J. Gordan; her brothers, Bob George and his wife Doreen of Venice, Fla. and Paul George of Leominster; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, immediately followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Sylvia’s name to: Autism Speaks, 1 East 33rd St., 4th Floor, New York, NY 10016. www.autismspeaks.org.
