WESTBOROUGH – Can your child read 1,000 books before they enter kindergarten?

The Kids’ Department at the Westborough Public Library is continuing its ongoing program, “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” this school year.

Children and their parents or guardians can complete the program at their own pace.

“1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” encourages families to read to their children, which helps develop their cognitive and social-emotional skills and ultimately sets them up for success at school.

Children and their parents or guardians can register online at https://westborough.beanstack.com/reader365 to help keep track of the books they read.

Kids will earn a free book for every 100 books they read.

Anyone with questions can contact Children’s Librarian Hannah Gavalis at 508-366-3050.
