Richard M. Sauta, 35, formerly of Hudson

1332

Richard M. SautaWareham – It is with great sadness that the family of Richard (Richie) Sauta announces his unexpected death on Sept. 8, 2021. Richie was born on 15 June 1986 to Linda Cummings Sauta and Kevin Sauta. The family lived in Hudson when the children were young and later moved to Onset.

Richie was the third child of a tight-knit band of brothers, Michael, Paul and Danny. The brothers had an unbreakable connection which remained strong even as they entered adulthood and found different paths in life. It was always fun to sit at the table and listen to them tease and weave their conversations in and out amongst each other.

He was a young man with a caring spirit and generous heart. Richie’s sunny and outgoing nature brought him friends from all walks of life, and he thoroughly enjoyed an active social scene. He remained close to his family and made it a point to always keep in touch with his numerous relatives, both far and wide. Richie had a wonderful ability to self-reflect and laugh at himself, such as when he was being a hypochondriac or facing his fears of flying. It is a blessing that he was recently able to realize his dream of sitting on the beach in Hawaii.

In his professional life, Richie was a hard worker as his colleagues from Papa Gino’s and Renewal By Andersen can confirm. He was focused on doing his best while also providing support to his co-workers. Richie took pride in his abilities and was always looking for ways to continue to grow.

Richie’s love for animals resulted in a houseful of rescue pets. He will be sorely missed by his beloved cats, Alice and Jan.

In addition to his parents and brothers, Richie leaves behind his loving grandparents, James and Betty Sauta, and Ronald Cummings, 8 aunts and uncles, and numerous first and second cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14, from 4-6:30 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. A service and Celebration of Richard’s life will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Richie’s name to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Rd., Sterling, MA 01564. Shelter Hours & Directions – Animal Shelter, Inc. of Sterling (sterlingshelter.org)
