WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Community Chorus (WCC) has welcomed a new music director for its 50th anniversary season.
Andrew Milne, who is a Westborough native, was recently appointed by the WCC Board of Directors.
Milne is a former recipient of the WCC music scholarship. He received his master’s in music education and choral directing from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music.
He currently teaches music at Harvard Public Schools.
Milne has begun preparing for the chorus’ holiday show at Gibbons Middle School in December. The WCC began rehearsing on Sept. 14. In the future, rehearsals will be held on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and some Wednesdays.
The chorus is open to all community members over the age of 18.
