WESTBOROUGH – A crash on I-495 prompted an emergency response from both Westborough and Hopkinton on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post by the Westborough Fire Department.

The crash took place “on Interstate 495 north at the Massachusetts Turnpike,” the Fire Department said.

A photo shared with that post showed an upturned car with front end damage.

Rescue 1 and Medic 4 of the Westborough Fire Department were on the scene alongside personnel from the Hopkinton Fire Department as of 3:19pm according to the Westborough Fire Department.

“Expect delays,” that post noted.

The incident comes after a crash on Route 9 injured five people on Saturday.

Westborough Firefighters had to use hydraulic tools to extricate one individual from that wreck according to a press release.

The Saturday crash took place when a wrong-way driver collided with a driver traveling west on Route 9, the press release said.
