Robert A. SteevesWestborough – Robert “Bob” A. Steeves, 85 died peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing in Westborough, MA.

He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of the late Clement and Mary A. (Berry) Steeves. He lived in Marlborough, MA for 58 years coming from Waltham, MA.

Bob is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, Mary E. (Dubee) Steeves, his devoted daughter, Melanie Steeves and her partner, Mark Audette all of Marlborough; his beloved grandchildren, Jarod, Justin, Josh, Ryan, and Katie; nieces, MaryJane, Elizabeth and Candy and his goddaughter, Tara-Leigh; and his daughter-in-law Christine Steeves. He was predeceased by his son Sheldon Steeves in 2019 and a sister Sandra Lutes in 1983.

Bob loved his family, he enjoyed horseshoes, cards, fishing, and sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed life, infecting those around him with his laughter and infectious spirit, always telling funny stories and making everyone laugh!

He was a member of The First Congregational Church, Marlborough, MA.

Bob was a life member of the Masonic Lodge, Keith Lodge #23 in N.B. Canada and the Marlborough Fish & Game.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 11, from 4-6 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main Street, Marlborough, MA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home, Dr. Rev. Kazimierz Bem officiating.

Bob’s family would like to thank all the staff of Beaumont Rehabilitation & skilled Nursing for their loving care and compassion during this last difficult year.
