Anne-Marie KelleyMarlborough – Anne-Marie (Vigeant) Kelley of Marlborough, MA passed away from an unexpected, sudden heart attack while gardening at her New Hampshire home, known to the Kelley’s as “camp”, on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Anne-Marie was born and raised in Marlborough where she and her beloved husband Mark Kelley raised their two daughters. Mark was the love of Anne-Marie’s life, and they recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary. Anne-Marie was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anne (Harpin) Vigeant.

Anne-Marie built her own successful balloon decorating business, Classic Events in Marlborough, which she closed after thirty years. Always looking to brighten a tough time for someone, she would always show up with balloons in hand.

She was an active member of Marlborough school PTOs, led the annual schools’ book fairs, volunteered constantly whenever there was an opportunity, and was well known, respected, and loved by so many that she worked with in the Marlborough community.

Living a life of service to others, Anne-Marie was always the first one at your door with a hug, food, clothing, or anything you needed. Her home was the gathering place for many holidays with her extended family. An impressive gardener she created and maintained beautiful landscapes in Marlborough and New Hampshire. She credited her love of flowers, birds, and nature to her dad with whom she spent many hours kneeling side‑by‑side in his garden.

Anne-Marie gave so much to so many, but her life’s purpose was her family. She was completely dedicated to her girls. She was extremely proud of Erin and Corinne and watched them grow into adulthood with Erin becoming a NICU nurse and Corinne a Sergeant in the NH Army National Guard. Squam Lake in NH was the family’s favorite place to spend time together on their boat or by the shore at their beautiful home.

Anne-Marie is survived by her husband Mark, and their daughter’s Erin Kelley and Corinne Kelley of Ashland, NH. She is also survived by her brothers Arthur Vigeant and his wife Sue and Jerry Vigeant all from Marlborough, Stephen Vigeant of Moultonborough, NH, Dianne Plummer and her husband Eric of Marlborough, and Mary-Beth Grenier and her husband Robert of Northborough. Anne-Marie treasured her time with her many nieces and nephews whom she cherished, supported, and loved.

A private service will be held at the family’s request.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center
