MARLBOROUGH – Unofficial election results show Arthur Vigeant beating David Garceau in this year’s Marlborough mayoral election.

The campaign marked Garceau’s second bid to unseat Vigeant, who spent 18 years on the Marlborough City Council before winning his first mayoral election in 2011.

Vigeant beat Garceau by a margin of roughly 3,500 votes to 2,000 in 2019. He then won by a 2,985 to 1,505 margin this year.

Teona Brown, meanwhile, won the Ward 4 City Council race, beating incumbent Robert Tunnera, according to unofficial results.

She garnered 338 votes.

Tunnera received 295.

Other City Council incumbents will all return for another term after running unopposed for re-election.

In the School Committee race, Maureen Brennan, Michelle Bodin-Hettinger, Denise Ryan and Earl Geary vied for three seats.

Unofficial results have voters re-electing the incumbents — Bodin-Hettinger, Ryan and Geary.

Bodin-Hettinger received 2,575 votes.

Ryan received 2,596 votes.

Geary received 2,135 votes.

And Brennan received 2,043 votes.
