Northborough – Matilde Castillo de Villamil, 78, of Northborough, died Monday, November 1, 2021 at Rose Monahan Hospice, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Anibal Villamil; three sons, Victor Julio Villamil and his wife Luz Neila Patino, Jorge Villamil and his wife Claudia, and Nelson Villamil; three daughters, Olga Villamil and her husband Rodrigo Ceron, Lisbey Viillamil, and Yolanda Villamil and her husband Luis Castilla; ten grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Blanca Cecilia Villamil. She was born in Boyaca, Colombia, daughter of Epaminondas Castillo and Esther Montanez, and was one of eight children.
Matilde enjoyed having her family together. She was passionate about her children and their desire to succeed. She always had advice for everyone. No one could leave her home without at least a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Any worker, friend or family member was treated the same. Matilde would not hesitate to help anyone at any time. A true wife, she was always concerned about her husband’s welfare. She will always be remembered by anyone who met her.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 9, 2021 from 5-7 pm at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester.
