Shrewsbury – Helen P. (Gerardi) Gremo, 90 of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough.
Helen was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Nunziato and Antoinette (Paldino) Gerardi and lived in Shrewsbury for 60 years. She graduated from Worcester Schools and was a devoted wife and mother. Helen worked as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at their family business the former Tile World in Shrewsbury. She was a member of Beato Angelo de Acri Society for many years and the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Helen was a phenomenal cook who loved crafts and crocheting.
Helen’s husband of 42 years, Crispino J. “Chris” Gremo passed away on April 22, 1992. She is survived by two sons, Robert P. Gremo and his wife Patricia of Sandwich and Gregory G. Gremo and his wife Michele of South Grafton; two beloved granddaughters, Mia and Ava Gremo both of South Grafton; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey S. Gremo; six brothers, William “Willow” Gerardi, Christopher Gerardi, Roland “Tex” Gerardi, Trosiard “Tro” Gerardi, Leonard “Leo” Gerardi and Peter Gerardi; two sisters, Rose Lanava and Florence Dunkerly.
A funeral service for Helen will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. A period of calling hours will be held on Monday, November 8th from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
