MARLBOROUGH – A marketing group that had been meeting at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Marlborough recently finished evaluating new toy designs and asked the hotel to donate the brand-new samples to a worthy cause.
One call was all it took to then get those toys sent to the Marine Corps JROTC program at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High, which holds an annual Toys for Tots drive.
Marine cadets in their dress blues made an appearance at the hotel Nov. 2 to gather the new toys and kick off their annual campaign.
“These will get distributed through the local Marine headquarters to a lot of needy children,” promised Sergeant Major Tracy Linch, one of the school’s Marine instructors.
