SHREWSBURY – This year’s spring season came to an end for the Shrewsbury High School girls soccer team in the form of a 4-0 loss to Arlington, Nov. 6.

The Colonials squad had marched through the regular season, landing near the middle of the pack as the 19th seed in a 38-team postseason bracket this month.

They entered the game with a 7-6-1 record, having gone 3-1 in the last four games of the season.

Arlington jumped out to an early lead on their home turf, though, and did not look back.

“Great season Ladies,” read a message on the official Shrewsbury High School Athletics Twitter account following the loss.
