HUDSON – The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, along with the Worcester Regional and MetroWest Chambers of Commerce, recently joined together for an event to celebrate and honor local veterans.

Entitled “21 Gun Tri-Salute to Our Veterans,” the event took place on Nov. 12 at the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, which takes guests through a timeline of United States military interventions, equipment, and technology, from the Revolutionary War up to the present day.

The museum exists in partnership with the Collings Foundation

President and CEO of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce Robert Schlacter helped lead the three chambers in the collaboration and organization of the event.

“We are proud to continue our annual Tri-Chamber efforts to honor the men and women who have served our military throughout America’s history,” he said in a press release shared earlier this month.

Schlacter specifically celebrated the event’s keynote speaker, Andrew Biggio, A United States Marine veteran and the author of “The Rifle.”

“We are honored to have such an amazing keynote speaker to share with our Veterans, Chamber partners and members graciously hosted by the Collings Foundation from their stunning and fascinating museum.”

“We are absolutely thrilled, and it’s so amazing to have a venue like this in our backyard,” Schlacter added on Nov. 12. “The three chambers are trying to spread the word about how much of a commitment the American Heritage Museum has to our veterans. Of course, all of us are involved in recognizing the veterans that are not only in our chamber, but that represent Massachusetts a whole as well.”

After taking a guided tour of the museum, guests were free to walk around the museum floor, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and listen to Biggio’s keynote presentation.
