NORTHBOROUGH/SOUTHBOROUGH – Four area youth football players will soon head to Florida to compete in a national tournament there as members of their respective Central Massachusetts All-Star Teams.

Victor Norman, Max Tolander, Caden Davis and Caleb Ferlo all earned this honor as members of the Northborough-Southborough Youth Football and Cheer association. They practiced with their all-star teams throughout November and are now gearing up for all-star play in Kissimmee, Florida between Dec. 3 and Dec. 11.

“The league is extremely proud of our players for their time, effort, and commitment they have put in this season,” wrote Football and Cheer Association Registrar Christine Pulsifer in a statement shared with the Community Advocate. “We wish Caden, Caleb, Victor, and Max the best of luck in Florida.”

Davis and Ferlo are each playing their first season of tackle football this year. Norman is in his second year, while Tolander has played for five years.

Team coaches initially selected players from their rosters to try out for all-star spots.

Hundreds of players from more than 30 area towns attended those tryouts, with 36 student athletes eventually being selected.

Davis and Ferlo will play on the 10U team. Norman and Tolander will play in the 12U group.

In addition to players, sixth grade football coach Doug Pulsifer has been asked to serve as an assistant 12U coach, Christine Pulsifer wrote.
