REGION – Well over 100 local high school athletes were recently recognized with all star honors as the MidWach League released its finalized fall all star list this month.
Some teams and schools had already announced their all stars. Many others, though, had not.
Algonquin, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Marlborough and Hudson High Schools all participate in the MidWach League. Therefore, they all saw players pick up all star nods.
Leading the way within the pack were stars like Algonquin football’s James Jankovich, who won his division’s defensive MVP award in addition to all star honors.
Kristin Wilichowski won her division’s MVP award as a star player on this year’s Westborough High School girls soccer team while Maddie Mrva took home an MVP recognition with her performance this fall on Shrewsbury’s field hockey team.
In Hudson, Quinn O’Brien won offensive MVP honors for his football success this year, while Chris Sinopoli earned MVP honors on the Marlborough golf team.
The MidWach League statement announcing all stars also noted several academic all stars on area teams.
