WESTBOROUGH – A scoreless first period gave way to a 2-0 victory over Northbridge for the Westborough High School boys hockey team, Dec. 22.

Jackson Bohn opened the scoring for the Rangers just over three minutes into the second period. From there, Will Gravell doubled the lead with another goal, this time coming roughly 1:30 into the third period.

The win was Westborough’s third straight, following a 4-1 victory over Hudson on Dec. 21 and a 2-1 win over Wachusett in this year’s Boroughs Cup consolation game back on Dec. 18.

This win-streak, likewise, marked a rebound for the Rangers after they weathered a difficult 8-1 defeat at the hands of Algonquin on Dec. 15.

The team was scheduled to enter a short break as of Dec. 23, with no game scheduled over this past weekend.

They were due back in action on Dec. 27 and Dec. 29, though, facing Shawsheen Valley Vocational Technical High School and Groton-Dunstable Regional High School respectively.
