Peter F. Sharon Jr.Marlborough – Peter F. Sharon Jr., 90, of Marlborough, died on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Marlborough Hospital.

He was born in Hudson, MA, the son of the late Beatrice (Fissette) and Peter F. Sharon. He graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1949.

Peter was in the hospitality industry as a waiter for his entire life. He worked for several restaurants including the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, FL in 1954 and The Meadows in Framingham. He also worked in all of the family diners between Marlborough and Hudson.

He retired from the Coach & Six Restaurant at the Marlborough Holiday Inn. He was a waiter of another generation. He put on a tuxedo every night to go to work and had many regular customers that would wait their turn for the unique time at his tables.

He was sarcastic, humorous at times and a bit cantankerous, but he was also the one person to call when you needed someone to be there. He often was compared to the TV personality “Felix Unger” of the Odd Couple.

Peter’s panache was his signature through his life. He always had a big, fancy and impeccably clean car, often a convertible. He could cruise about and never have a piece of hair move out of place! He treasured his time spent in many late-night casinos in his later years with his best friend Pat McNaulty of Hudson.

Peter is survived by his nieces and nephews, Michael, Jimmy, Peter, Paul Jr., John, Dianne, Billy, Jeff, Arthur, Tommy, Joey, Paul, Cathy and Sharon, and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Richard, Arthur, Margaret St. Michel, Eleanor Cabral, David and Paul, as well as a niece, Patty and a nephew, Bobby.

After cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 30, from 10-11:30 at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA. A graveside service will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 278 Cox St., Hudson where he will be laid to rest with his family.
