REGION – Friday’s winter storm dropped well over six inches of snow across parts of the region before a deep freeze made for icy conditions overnight.

On Saturday morning, drone photography captured brilliant images of the wintery scene in Hudson, with snow still clinging to trees and buildings along Brigham Street and Park Street between Hudson High School and the downtown rotary.

Everything from schools, to area municipal offices, to COVID-19 testing sites were closed on Friday as conditions made travel particularly treacherous during the morning commute.

The National Weather Service is now predicting a warmer day on Sunday before much colder temperatures roll in on Monday night to linger through Tuesday.
