WESTBOROUGH – A truck crashed into two stopped Westborough Police cruisers on Tuesday night, police said in a statement on social media.

That came just over 24 hours after another incident on Route 9 where a motorist ran into a cruiser at a stop light.

In turn, it came just a matter of weeks after yet another driver hit a cruiser on Route 9 back in November.

“It happened again,” police said in their statement on Tuesday.

Officers not seriously injured in latest crash

Officers were assisting a disabled vehicle on Route 9 near its interchange with 495 around 6 p.m on Tuesday.

“The disabled motorist was in a bad spot and the officers were assisting until the tow arrived,” police said.

At that point, though, a truck ran into the back of one of the cruisers, pushing that car into a second cruiser according to police.

The officers were not seriously injured.

Earlier crash injured officer, other driver

Monday’s incident sent two people to the hospital, including the officer in the vehicle that was hit.

That crash happened around 12 p.m. near the intersection of Route 9 and Lyman Street, with a vehicle hitting the officer’s cruiser and pushing the cruiser into a third car.

The officer rendered aid to others involved in that incident before being transported to the hospital.

November crash prompted OUI charge

The November incident, meanwhile, drew an OUI charge for a Framingham man after he struck a cruiser, also on Route 9.

The cruiser was unoccupied while an officer conducted a traffic stop.

Updated filings that court case was not available through the state’s electronic access portal overnight.

Handling their second crash in as many days, Westborough Police are reminding community members to move over and slow down when they see emergency vehicles on the side of the road.

“Please,” the police wrote. “For your safety and the safety of our officers.
