MARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough Democratic City Committee will hold its quarterly collection drive in partnership with the Marlborough Community Cupboard on Saturday, Jan. 15
The event will run rain or shine.
Donations can be dropped off in the Navin Arena lower parking lot at 451 Bolton St. in Marlborough from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The drive will comply with CDC social distancing guidelines, including a requirement for facemasks and no direct contact.
The Democratic City Committee is requesting donations such as basic cooking items, breakfast items and children’s items, such as diapers and wipes.
The list also includes the need for canned goods, such as chili, soups, vegetables, beans and ravioli.
The Marlborough Community Cupboard is also seeking non-perishable snacks, such as crackers, cookies, raisins, Jell-o mixes, Jell-o pudding and popcorn.
“We thank the people in the area for their past and continuing support for this worthy
cause,” said Committee Chairman Dan Caruso in a press release. “As we continue to deal with the pandemic, the need to help our neighbors is still there.”
For further information or questions on the collection, contact MDCC members Pam McNair or Teria Ellis by email at [email protected] or [email protected], or contact McNair by telephone at 508-294-5481.
