Charles B. KittredgeWestborough – Charles B. “Charlie” Kittredge, 87, of Westborough and formerly of Clinton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 14, 2022 at UMASS Memorial – University Campus, with his loving family at his side.

He leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Marianne (White) Kittredge; his daughter, Christine M. Painchaud and her husband Donald, of Dudley; his step-daughter, Marcia F. Tschohl and her husband Loren, of Moyock, NC; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by seven brothers and a sister; and their parents, Malachi J. Kittredge and Grace M. (Haskell) Kittredge.

Born, raised, and educated in Clinton, he was a graduate of Clinton High School. At 18, Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and served his country proudly for eight years total, between active duty and reserves.

He began working for the Jamesbury Corp., where he remained for thirty years before retiring.

In his free time, Charlie loved woodworking, gardening, and tending to his yard. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, especially taking walks and riding bikes together.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association, 255 Main Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.

A calling hour will be held from 10 – 11 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, followed by a prayer service at 11. Masks will be required, per the Town of Shrewsbury. Burial, with military honors, will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster.
