NORTHBOROUGH – It appears that at least one race will be contested when Northborough voters head to the polls in May.

Incumbent Leslie Rutan is running for re-election to the Board of Selectmen. She’ll be challenged by Mitchell Cohen.

Both Rutan and Cohen have obtained and returned their nomination papers.

In other races, Joan Frank has pulled papers to run for re-election to the Regional School Committee. Frederick George Jr. is seeking re-election as town moderator.

Incumbent Keith Lebel is not running for re-election to the Northborough School Committee. He’s made this decision just under six years after he was elected to the School Committee in 2016 as a write-in candidate.

Bryce Adam MacKnight has pulled papers to run for Lebel’s now open seat.

One seat on the Northborough Planning Board is also up for election. The incumbent, Michelle Gillespie, has yet to obtain nomination papers for the election.

However, William Pierce has obtained and returned his papers to run.

Candidates have until March 11 to pull papers.

The election will then be held on May 10.
