WESTBOROUGH – Westborough High School’s Alan Nguyen set a school record in the long jump last week with a win at the MIAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship.
Finishing with a result of 21-04.50, Nguyen took the win on a day that also saw him notch a third-place finish in the 55 meter hurdles competition.
Nguyen was one of several athletes from Westborough and beyond competing in this meet, which took place on Feb. 16 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
Coach Matt Wilson shared his congratulation after the meet, lauding team members for their performance.
“Incredibly proud of our Westborough track athletes that competed this evening at the D3 Divisional meet,” he tweeted. “Lots of PRs and lots to be proud of.”
While Westborough found success, Marlborough athlete Ava VanBuskirk also set records at this same meet last week.
