SHREWSBURY – The Shrewsbury girls basketball team took a tough loss to Framingham last week, falling by a score of 61-38.
The Flyers jumped out to an early lead and did not let up, holding a 32-12 advantage at halftime and expanding that lead in the third and fourth quarters on Thursday.
Carrie Hess led her team in scoring in the loss, notching 10 points for Shrewsbury.
This result dropped Shrewsbury’s win-loss record to 10-10.
The Colonials will now continue their season in the MIAA state tournament, though, with a preliminary round game set for Tuesday against Newton South.
That game will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Newton South.
