WESTBOROUGH – A series of crashes on I-90 on Wednesday near the Westborough/Upton town line has left a state trooper injured and blocked all three lanes of travel on the highway.

Westborough firefighters were on scene just before 9:45 a.m.

The Fire Department said in a post to social media that they were working multiple crashes around the 101 mile marker.

“A secondary crash resulted in a Massachusetts State Police Trooper being struck and injured,” they said, noting that the injuries are not life threatening.

This took place on the eastbound side of the Mass Pike.

All three lanes of travel remained closed as of 9:45 a.m.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
