NORTHBOROUGH – Looking for a job this summer?
The Northborough Recreation Department is currently hiring for several positions.
The department is looking for camp counselors to work between July 5 and Aug. 19.
Any applicants must be at least 16 years old by June 1 and have a year of experience working with children. They must be able to attend all trainings, which will be held from June 27 to 29. Applicants, further, must be able to work for the entire summer.
Camp counselors should have at least one year of camp experience. The pay is $15 an hour.
The Recreation Department is also seeking a summer camp group leader, who must be at least 18 and have two years of camp experience. The pay rate for that position is $16 an hour.
There are open T-ball coach positions that will have individuals co-coach with a parent and teach basic T-ball skills. Candidates should be at least 16 years old. The pay is $15 an hour.
Coaches will work Tuesday nights from July 12 to Aug. 23 between 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ellsworth McAfee Park.
The department is additionally seeking instructors to run a summer basketball league. Candidates must be at least 16, have basketball knowledge and enjoy working with younger kids.
That program will run between July 12 to Aug. 23 on Monday through Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. Staff members do not need to work all days, though they’re asked to commit to at least two days.
